The shot list app I built for my own productions.

CineLog Pro — built by a working cinematographer, for working cinematographers.

Why I Built It

I've been shooting professionally for years, and for most of that time I was managing shot lists the same way everyone else was — spreadsheets, notes apps, scraps of paper on set. It worked, until it didn't.

What I needed was something that lived on my phone, worked offline on location, and kept everything — shot lists, call sheets, crew info, lens choices — in one place I could actually pull up mid-setup without fumbling through five different apps or a coffee-stained notebook.

I couldn't find that tool, so I built it. CineLog Pro started as something I made for myself. It's grown into a full production planning app, but the core is still the same: a tool designed around how DPs and directors actually work on set, not how a product manager thinks they do.

How I Use It On Set

On every production I shoot, CineLog Pro is open from pre-production through wrap. I build my shot list during prep — camera angles, lens choices, movement notes, priority flags — and it comes with me on the day. When things change (and they always change), I update it in real time.

I use the depth of field calculator constantly. Pulling focus on a fast prime? I want to know my DOF before we get to set, not guess on the fly. I use the call sheet builder to keep my crew aligned without a dedicated coordinator on smaller jobs. And because I often shoot in places with no cell service, offline access isn't a nice-to-have — it's essential.

What It Does

  • Shot list builder — build detailed shot lists with scene numbers, shot types, lens choices, camera movement, and priority flags

  • Depth of field calculator — real-time DOF for any camera/lens/aperture combination

  • Call sheet generator — professional call sheets you can share with your crew in minutes

  • Project organization — keep every production separate and organized in one app

  • Offline-first — works without cell service, on location, anywhere

  • iOS & Android — available on both platforms
